n :  a yellow crystalline flavonol glycoside C27H30O16 that occurs in various plants (as rue, tobacco, and buckwheat), that yields quercetin and rutinose on hydrolysis, and that is used chiefly for strengthening capillary blood vessels (as in cases of hypertension and radiation injury) .
