n :  a synthetic hormone that is administered in the form of its hydrated acetate salt C48H68N14O14S2·3H2O and is used for its antidiuretic effect in treating diabetes insipidus due to injury to the neurohypophyseal system and nocturnal enuresis and for its effect of increasing certain clotting factors in treating some bleeding disorders - see DDAVP  .
