yellow fever

n :  an acute destructive disease of warm regions marked by sudden onset, prostration, fever, albuminuria, jaundice, and often hemorrhage and caused by a flavivirus transmitted esp. by a mosquito of the genus Aedes (A. aegypti) - called also yellow jack  .
