Has·sall's corpuscle

n :  one of the small bodies of the medulla of the thymus having granular cells at the center surrounded by concentric layers of modified epithelial cells - called also thymic corpuscle 
 
Hassall, Arthur Hill (1817-1894),
British physician and chemist. In 1846 Hassall published The Microscopic Anatomy of the Human Body in Health and Disease in which he described the bodies that now bear his name.
