na·bo·thi·an cyst

n :  a mucous gland of the uterine cervix esp. when occluded and dilated - called also nabothian follicle 
 
Na•both, Martin (1675-1721),
German anatomist and physician. Naboth described the mucous glands of the uterine cervix in 1707. At the same time he noted small cysts in these glands caused by blockage of the outflow of the secretion but he thought that they were ova.
