n :  a nonreducing trisaccharide sugar C18H32O16·2H2O that is less sweet than sucrose, that is obtained esp. from exudations of various trees (as the larch or Douglas fir) or from honey made from such exudations, and that on partial hydrolysis yields glucose and turanose .
