n :  a disease of horses marked by cirrhosis of the liver, severe nervous symptoms, and continuous aimless walking and usu. believed to be caused by eating poisonous vegetation esp. of leguminous plants of the genus Crotalaria - called also walking disease  - compare CROTALISM  .
