Cha·ber·tia
n : a genus of nematode worms of the family Strongylidae including one (C. ovina) that infests the colon esp. of sheep and causes a bloody diarrhea Cha•bert, Philibert (1737-1814), French veterinarian. Chabert is remembered for his classic descriptions of glanders in 1779 and anthrax in 1780.
