Zen·ker's degeneration

n :  hyaline degeneration of voluntary muscles associated with severe infectious diseases (as typhoid fever) - called also waxy degeneration 
 
Zenker, Friedrich Albert von (1825-1898),
German pathologist and anatomist. Zenker held professorships at Dresden and Erlengen, Germany. He introduced Zenker's fluid in 1894.
