Bang's disease

n :  BRUCELLOSISspecif  :  contagious abortion of cattle caused by a bacterium of the genus Brucella (B. abortus) - called also Bang's 
 
Bang, Bernhard Lauritz Frederik (1848-1932),
Danish veterinarian. In 1897 Bang discovered that a bacterium (Brucella abortus) caused contagious abortion in cattle and one form of undulant fever in human beings. He also made important contributions to the control of bovine tuberculosis and to the research on smallpox vaccination and bacillary disease in animals.
