n :  an area of the abdominal wall bounded laterally by the inferior epigastric artery, medially by the margin of the rectus muscle, and below by the inguinal ligament - called also Hesselbach's triangle 
 
Hesselbach, Franz Kaspar (1759-1816), German surgeon and anatomist. Hesselbach served as professor of anatomy and surgery at Würzburg, Germany. In 1806 he published an anatomical-surgical treatise on the origin of hernias which included a description of the triangle of Hesselbach.
