Shrap·nell's membrane

n :  a triangular flaccid part of the tympanic membrane of the ear
 
Shrapnell, Henry Jones (1761-1841),
British anatomist. Shrapnell published the first description of the flaccid portion of the tympanic membrane in 1832.
