n :  a colony-stimulating factor produced by T cells, macrophages, endothelial cells, and fibroblasts that promotes the differentiation of bone marrow stem cells, stimulates the maturation of precursor cells into granulocytes and macrophages, and activates mature macrophages - abbr.
