Hub·bard tank

n :  a large tank in which a patient can easily be assisted in exercises while in the water
 
Hubbard, Leroy Watkins (1857-1938),
American orthopedic surgeon. Hubbard devoted the major portion of his career to the study of infantile paralysis. One of his patients was Franklin D. Roosevelt, who suffered from the disease. Roosevelt encouraged him to found and develop the Warm Springs Foundation in Georgia, where Hubbard served as surgeon-in-chief.
