npl  -mas  or  -ma*ta   1  :  a granuloma esp. of the lymph glands that is characterized by inflammation and replacement of the normal cell structure by an infiltrate  2  :  a benign form of Hodgkin's disease in which paragranulomas of the lymph glands are a symptom - called also Hodgkin's paragranuloma  .
