n :  an anticholinesterase C13H14N2 administered in the form of its hydrochloride that crosses the blood-brain barrier and is used esp. in the palliative treatment of cognitive deficits in learning, memory, and mood occurring early in Alzheimer's disease - called also tetrahydroaminoacridine , HA  - see COGNEX  .
