McArdle's disease or Mc·Ar·dle's disease
McBurney's point - see entries alphabetized as MC- . n : glycogen storage disease that is due to a deficiency of muscle phosphorylase and affects skeletal muscle - called also McArdle's syndrome McArdle, Brian (fl 1936-1972), British physician. McArdle served on the staff of the department of chemical pathology at a London hospital. He was the author of articles on diseases of the muscle. In 1951 he published a paper on myopathy due to a defect in muscle glycogen breakdown. His report was based on the study of a 30-year-old male who had had the disease since childhood.
