Che·diak-Hi·ga·shi syndrome
n : a genetic disorder inherited as an autosomal recessive and characterized by partial albinism, abnormal granules in the white blood cells, and marked susceptibility to bacterial infections Che•diak, Moises (fl 1952), French physician, and Hi*ga*shi, Ototaka (fl 1954), Japanese physician. Chediak and Higashi independently of each other discovered the genetic disorder that bears their names.
