Schiotz tonometer

n :  a tonometer used to measure intraocular pressure in millimeters of mercury
 
Schiötz, Hjalmar (1850-1927),
Norwegian physician. With the French ophthalmologist Louis-Emile Javal (1839-1907), Schiötz invented a tonometer for measuring intraocular pressure. They introduced their tonometer in an article published in 1881.
