n : a mixture of 100 parts 70 percent alcohol and one part formaldehyde used for hardening and preserving tissues for microscopic study Parker, George Howard (1864-1955), American zoologist. Parker was a member of Harvard's faculty in the zoological department for almost all of his long academic career.
