cold agglutinin

n :  any of several agglutinins sometimes present in the blood (as that of many patients with primary atypical pneumonia) that at low temperatures agglutinate compatible as well as incompatible erythrocytes, including the patient's own - called also cold hemagglutinin  - compare AUTOAGGLUTININ  .
