Miller, Thomas Grier (b 1886), and Abbott, William Osler (1902-1943), American physicians. Miller and Abbott introduced their intestinal tube in 1934. Three years later Abbott devised another tube, this one for use in the postoperative care of gastroenterostomy cases.
